My current obsession with sneakers can be understood from a quick look at my must buy list…numbers 1-5 are kicks.

It all started last year when I spotted this beautiful pair of cream-oatmeal and gold NewBalances at J. Crew. When people describe “love at first sight,” I imagine it to be something like when I turned the corner and saw those pretty puppies sitting on the shelf. Don’t believe me? Take a look.

Rather than the traditional sneaker/legging combo (which I indulge in, don’t get me wrong), I love to pair a clean pair of sneaks with a slim-fitting cropped jean.

Unfortunately, I’ve found that many of my friends ask me: How are you wearing jeans and sneakers?? Don’t fear, anyone can.

I don’t know if I could even count how many pairs of Converses I see walking around campus daily, with all types of outfits! I have noticed recent popularity in Adidas Superstars, too! So in reality, sneakers are super easy to style, and more importantly, super comfy.

Although NewBalances have my heart, I’m very open to expanding my collection with different brands. These Pumas (in grey) came in the mail last month and I cradled them like a small infant.

Lately, my favorite place to scope out new sneaks has been ASOS. They have a huge style selection from all different brands.

So for your next outing, forget your flats and booties and decide to rock some kicks! You’ll stay comfy all day and look stylish all the while.
