Current weather forecast: blizzards and getting blitzed!
WELCOME to the first installment of COLLEGE COCKTAILS. Just because I’m in college doesn’t mean I can’t be a fancy broad. Yes, I love keg beer and bottom-self tequila as much as the next freshly 21-year-old, but once in a while its nice to have something that I isn’t serve in a red solo cup.
Tonight my friends and I snuggled up on the couch for the Grammys as snow actually POURED from the sky, #snowday!!! What better way to celebrate another university snowday than with some warm chocolate drink with a lil splash of love??
Recently I came across this fancy shmancy recipe for “Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Tequila,” you can find it here.
But since I’m balling on a budget, I decided to simplify the recipe to something a little more struggling-college-student friendly!
Chocolate Caliente Cuervo
1 pack of hot cocoa mix
Your favorite tequila
So if you looked at the original recipe, it’s going to tell you to measure out everything in ounces, get a sauce pan, blah blah – who has the time??
Prepare the hot coco mix as directed with milk, splash some tequila in there – and then add the extra stuff to your own taste!
I like ground cinnamon, caramel sauce, and a little whipped cream on top.
